Annual Governance and Accountability Return 2019-2020
Stoughton Parish Council is required, to complete an Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR), setting out Accounting Statements and an Annual Governance Statement for each financial year. These statements and their supporting documentation are audited by the Council's Internal Auditor.

Precept
The Precept is that element of your Council Tax that is paid to Stoughton Parish Council.
Every year, the Council draws up budgets and calculates how much money it needs for the next Financial Year. These are usually finalised in the January Full Council meeting and then submitted to Harborough District Council for co-ordination. HDC come up with the rate to be paid from 1st April that year.
The Precept requirement for 2021 to 2022 is £8450
The budgeted Parish Precept is based on 173.1 band D equivalent properties.
